About the project

There are four artificial islands located in the Palm Deira area of Dubai. The purpose of the islands is to launch dozens of diverse hotels and restaurants stretching along 21km of beaches ensuring that more tourism is attracted. This design by Shawa Architecture was proposed for a series of hotels within a certain dedicated area strategically located on the right part of the island. The artsy elegant look of the hotel organically fits the style of the buildings in the compound.

Concept

The smooth rising lines used in the elevation are inspired by the lines the heart monitor creates when reflecting the heartbeat in its report. The continuity of these lines represent the continuity of life. The effect that changing multi-colored uplighters create on the building is meant to interpret that human beings have multiple emotions, each represented by a certain color.
