About the project

​

This project was designed by Shawa Architecture as part of a competition for a Transportation Museum in Qatar, M.O.T. Transportation is one of the most important sectors that have a major impact on the overall development in any city or country. The purpose of this museum was to reflect the development of the state of Qatar in this regard.

Concept

​

The concept is the evolution of transport represented by the spiral lines of the mass that are heading upwards, symbolizing progress and determination. The way it works indoors is that people would walk along the round ramp to see various displays of transport in progression along the way. In the middle of the structure is the window opening to let lots of natural light in.
